Dr. Julie Blanco
Bing Goei, was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, immigrated to the U.S. in January of 1960 and also lived in the Netherlands from 1954 to 1960. Bing served as the President of Eastern Floral with 7 locations, including one in Holland, and has won several awards, including the G.R. Chamber Minority Business Person, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for West Michigan Retail Division. He was also inducted to the West Michigan Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame in 2008. Bing is married to Jean for 39 years and they have 5 children and 6 grandchildren.
David Long ( Chairman of the Board )
David Long, was born in Seoul, Korea, and raised (and currently lives) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is currently working on furthering his education. Past work experience has been in finance and logistics. David is married to Sung Pak and they have a daughter, Isabella.
MINNIE MOREY ( Executive Director )
Minnie Morey, President, was born in Manila, Philippines but spent most of her childhood in California. She serves on various community committees whose work is related to her position to connect WMAAA to the greater Grand Rapids community. Minnie is a federal government retiree who worked for the Social Security Administration. She is currently serving on the board of the Arbor Circle organization, an alumni of the Leadership Grand Rapids Class 2008, a United Way volunteer working with the Investment Council and is a member of the Community Inclusion Group, Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention Arena Authority. Her past community involvement included board member for Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women, Grand Rapids Area Center for Ecumenism, Girl Scouts Michigan Trails, Philippine Cultural Group of Michigan , Asian Center of West Michigan, Grand Rapids People of Color; and past president of the West Michigan Filipino-American Association. Minnie is the instructor/choreographer for the Pacific Island Dancers, a performing dance group specializing in cultural dances from Hawaii, Tahiti and the Philippines.
CORA HANSELMAN ( Financial Officer )
Cora Hanselman, Financial Officer, is a senior financial analyst at St. Mary's Healthcare. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Accounting, from the University of the East in the Philippines. She served on the board of directors and as treasurer of the Asian Health Outreach Foundation.
SUE Y. CHU
Sue Y. Chu is a Senior Client Relations Consultant for DTE Energy supporting the Greater Michigan locations. Currently she serves as a board member to the Grand Rapids Chinese Language School and West Michigan Asian American Association. She has held various titles ranges from Supervisor to Vice-President of Human Resources in various industries ranging from services to manufacturing. Sue graduated from Grand Valley State University with Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management. She is also an alumni of City High-Middle school (Go Pegasus!). Sue is very active in her community and has participated in a variety of projects such as Leadership Grand Rapids 2013, Bridging the Gap, Meal on Wheel, the Food Bank etcâ€¦ In her spare time, Sue enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Katie Bozek, Ph.D., LMFT was born in Seoul, Korea and adopted by a West Michigan family. She has lived in Grand Rapids ever since. She received her Bachelorâ€™s degree in psychology from Hope College, and her Masterâ€™s degree in marriage and family therapy and Ph.D. in family and child ecology from Michigan State University. After graduating, she opened a private practice that serves the mental health needs of the Grand Rapids, and greater Grand Rapids residents. She has served on the Michigan Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Board in many capacities, including as their legislative chair, and as President. She currently serves as a board member for the Michigan Board of Counseling and as a member of Varnumâ€™s Diversity & Inclusion Council. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Western Michigan University in their Counseling Psychology & Counseling Education Department, and at times in Hope Collegeâ€™s Psychology Department. She currently resides on the N.W. side of Grand Rapids with her husband Ben Bozek, and their three intelligent and active children.
Alice Kennedy ( Co-President )
Alice Kennedy believes in making an impact through one impression at a time. Born in Saigon, South Vietnam, she has lived in Grand Rapids since 1975. She is the Talent Sourcer (recruiter) at Gordon Food Service, North Americaâ€™s largest privately owned foodservice distributor. She is also the founder, playwright, producer, and facilitator for Kennedy Management Resources, Inc., Home of Diversity Theatre, KMR Diversity Theatre addresses all aspects of diversity to encourage understanding and respect of differences and finding commonalities to promote a pluralistic society. KMR celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2017.
Her recognition and awards include The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce 2009 Minority Business of the Year; the Heart of West Michigan United Way Champion of Diversity; the Asian Center's Amazing Asian; Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, as a YWCA's Tribute! Woman of Achievement; the Greater Grand Rapids Women's History Council Legacy Light.
She is a Steering Committee member of the Grand Rapids Community Foundationâ€™s Communities of Color Initiative. She has been married to Michael since 1988.

Sangeeta Ghosh ( Co-President )
Sangeeta Ghosh was born in Chennai, India. Prior to her move to United States, she was an attorney in the Corporate Legal Advisory Department of The Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India Limited (ICICI), Mumbai. She has lived in US since 1994. She is a licensed attorney in Michigan and a civil mediator serving pro bono at the West Michigan Dispute Resolution Center. She is currently employed at Kent County as Assistant Corporate Counsel where she is also actively involved with Kent County Cultural Insight Councilâ€™s diversity and inclusion efforts. She is also a member of the State Bar of Michiganâ€™s Health Care Law Taskforce on Communicable Diseases and Pandemic Legal Preparedness. Her community engagements included positions of trustee on the Boards of Asian Center and Legal Assistance Center, and presently as trustee on the Boards of Western Michigan Bengali Cultural Association and Grand Rapids Bar Association. Sangeeta lives in Ada Township with her husband, Saikat Ghosh, who is an Information Technology professional at Amway Corporation, and they have a son, Shounak.
