The WMAAA Scholarship Program is intended to champion Asian American high school seniors and college students who intend to pursue further education in West Michigan.
Details
WMAAA will select up to 5 Asian American scholars and volunteers to receive a $1500 scholarship.
All interested applicants, including those who were not selected for financial support, will be offered the opportunity to access mentorship from a local Asian professional.
Qualifications
The WMAAA is seeking Asian American scholars and volunteers with academic achievements and/or community involvement from local West Michigan high schools, colleges and vocational programs to apply for the scholarship.
Applicants will submit:
A resume (include high school / college name, major and GPA
A proposal to address a local community need (a maximum of two-page, double-spaced)
OR
An essay related to their personal experiences of diversity and/or volunteerism in their community (a maximum of two-page, double-spaced)
Special consideration for applicants with financial need will be prioritized.
